How we write and check our pages
Our pages are general fitness information, kept plain and short. Here is how we make them.
Where the facts come from
The facts about activity on our pages come from public health bodies (the WHO, the CDC, the National Institute on Aging), reviews of the research (Cochrane), and for the walking numbers the 2024 Compendium of Physical Activities and the CADENCE-Adults studies. The research on our home page, today's sessions and the walking calculators link their sources, and how we work out the walking numbers shows every value we use.
What we won't say
- No promise of weight loss, a body shape or a number on the scale.
- No reviews, experts or member counts we can't show you.
- Nothing that diagnoses, treats or prevents a condition. fitvee doesn't replace your doctor.
Who checks them
Every fact on our pages is checked against its published source before the page goes live. No outside expert reviews our pages today. When one does, their name, their qualifications and the date they reviewed a page will be on that page.
